Every day we dispose of cosmetic containers and, among them, shampoo bottles. These containers are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE or HDPE), a type of plastic. The material is recyclable, so it is interesting to learn how to recycle shampoo bottles easily and quickly.
The importance of recycling plastic products to avoid further environmental pollution is clear. The proposal is to reuse this type of packaging, not only so that they do not become garbage, but also because you will avoid buying new objects and you will save.
Ideas for recycling shampoo bottles
The first thing you should do is clean the container well so that the remains of shampoo do not interfere with the recycling process. Similarly, in addition to shampoo and conditioner bottles, you can also include mask pots or hair waxes and atomizers.
1. Pen holders
With a scissors cut the bottles to the height you want, taking into account the length of the pencils or highlighters that you are going to keep in them. Then you can leave them on your desk, inside a drawer, or stick them on a portrait frame to achieve a wall holder.
Creating homemade pen holders is a way to recycle a lot of materials that would otherwise end up in the trash.
2. Kitchen utensils organizer
Cut several bottles, so that you have one side higher than the rest. Then stick the bottles forming a star at the top.
There you can store cutlery, spatulas, blades and forks. If you are fond of crafts, you can paint them so that they have your own stamp. Similarly, you can only place two bottles and make a toothbrush holder and toothpaste.
3. Vintage wallet
Cut the bottle so that it fits the shape of a purse: from the base, about 10 or 12 centimeters in front, while for the flap of the purse you must calculate twice as much so that it closes fairly.
Finally, add some snaps with magnet, like those of conventional purses, and fix them with a resistant glue and ready. This same form you can use as a soap holder for the shower. Fasten it with suction cups to the tiles.
4. Sponge holders
Cut one side of the bottle, as the other will be long enough to bend in half when placed in the dividing part of the kitchen sink. The side you are going to cut, do it in such a way that the ends are symmetrical and the center free, because there you will place the soap and sponge on both sides.
5. Jeweler
Some shampoo bottles are shaped like a small mannequin. You could paint it and go through sticks that protrude to the side to hang your earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
Go through a rod vertically through the bottle and attach it to a base so that your jewelry box is stable. Ready to use.
6. Mobile phone holder
Cut the bottle like the purse, but taking into account the length of your mobile. It will be like a pocket, in whose flap you must make a hole for the charger to pass through there.
